I was born in the winter of 1977 in Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I lived until the early 90’s, when the unfortunate events in the Balkans forced me to leave my homeland, interrupting the happy period of my childhood.
I continued my education at the classical grammar school in Pazin, Croatia. The black and white prints adorning the school hallways were responsible for my becoming acquainted with black and white photography.
While attending grammar school, I would spend every spare moment studying those photographs, whose motifs and atmosphere took me back to the happier days of my interrupted childhood.
Today, several decades later, I fondly remember the days spent in those school hallways. They became a part of who I am today and developed into the guiding principle of my work and artistic creation.
When I started attending university in Zagreb, I fell in love with classic black and white photography, and took my first photographs on black and white film, which I developed in an improvised darkroom. Classic black and white photography became a part of my life, determining and directing my lifestyle.
I am a self-taught photographer who took his first photographs in 1997.
In the summer of 2008 I took up photography again. I currently live in Croatia, where I work as a freelance photographer and a civil engineer.
